In all homeowners associations, it is a common situation that there are residents that will appeal to the meeting for a change of rules. However, they are few that will not appeal on the meeting and instead will go to the chairman's house for private complaint and hope he or she is heard and granted, selfish and very bias attitude that may lead more complication to the residents and the homeowners association.
The legal agreement that has been made by all must not be changed easily to fit one resident. The chairman who runs the association must consider what is best for all not only for one and he or she need to consider the main purpose of the association which is for the maintenance of the standard of the estate and for peaceful and safety living among all residents. What has been approved and written on the rules and regulations must be kept especially if those rules and regulations had served better for all and not only for one.
The HOA rules are not made by the developer or by the government but by all residents themselves that met a common goal to maintain the estate, safety and peace. Equal rights and freedom to live the life that each resident wants must not be restricted as long as all will not violate any of the rules and regulations that have been approved. Respect and harmony among all residents is the best thing that any homeowners association must have, if only all residents possesses such characters there will be no problems or dispute to occur at all however it is too sad to say since they are not related to each other most of the residents will not care and cannot be bothered about their neighbor or the other residents.
Being selfish and think they are somebody are the most common attitudes I had seen and witness during homeowners association meetings and worst was the association was not properly implemented and was created premature due to one resident that was not even a homeowner scaring everybody that they need to organized homeowners association. And one homeowner whom been rising proposal that makes sense and for all residents benefits, safety and equality are condemn to be the trouble of association.
Worst is no legal
forms agreement was made to protect them and even the developer had said they will formed the association no one listen because they want their own way, what can that resident do then? Nothing isn't it and worst is to sell the property and move out. Dispute among all residents are cannot be avoided it will appear now and then even for those strongly formed association and how much more for underground formation of the association which you cannot expect anything except that it is bias and unfair.
